Videh users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what data is deleted or retained.
Request Deletion In The App
You can request account deletion directly in the Videh app:
- Open the Videh app.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Account.
- Tap Delete account and follow the confirmation steps.
Request Deletion By Email
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to pjhawithu@gmail.com from your registered phone number or include your registered phone number in the request.
Please include:
- Your registered phone number with country code.
- A clear request to delete your Videh account and data.
- Any additional information needed to verify account ownership.
Data Deleted
- Account profile information, including name, about text, and profile photo.
- Account settings and preferences associated with your user account.
- Messages, media, and status data associated with your account where deletion is technically possible.
- Linked device sessions and authentication sessions.
Data Retained
Some data may be retained for a limited time when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or service integrity. Backup copies are removed according to our normal backup retention cycle.
Processing Time
We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. If we need more information to verify ownership, we will contact you using the details provided in your request.
